2. BONES OF THE NECK (8)

The human neck has eight bones: the seven cervical vertebrae and the hyoid bone.

  1. First cervical vertebra or Atlas (C1)
  2. Second cervical vertebra or Axis (C2).
  3. Third cervical vertebra (C3).
  4. Forth cervical vertebra (C4).
  5. Fifth cervical vertebra (C5).
  6. Sixth cervical vertebra (C6).
  7. Seventh cervical vertebra or Prominens (C7).
  8. Hyoid bone.
