Adult human beings have 206 bones¹, some less than infants, in whom fusion of bones such as the sacrum and coccyx has not yet occurred.

  • Spine: 26 bones.
  • Thorax: 25 bones.
  • Upper limbs: 64 bones.
  • Lower limbs: 62 bones.
