According to the official NASA website and Wikipedia, Saturn is mainly made of two chemical elements: Hidrogen (≈ 96 %) and Helium (≈ 3 %) with some traces of methane, ammonia, hydrogen deuteride and ethane.

  • Hydrogen (H2) ≈ 96.3 %.
  • Helium (He) ≈ 3.25 %.
  • Methane (CH4) ≈ 0.45 %.

  • Hydrogen deuteride (HD) ≈ 0.0110 %.
  • Ethane (C2H6) ≈ 0.0007 %.
