According to Wikipedia, the ancient city of Babylon is located in the current city of Hillah, Iraq (coordinates: 32°32′33″N 44°25′16″E).
With this in mind, using Google Earth, we can measure the distance between both locations.
The result is a distance of about 550 miles (or ~900 km), as you can see in the image attached.
