As you well know, by default, Midjourney gives you four square images (ratio 1:1) in the results.
However, you can generate rectangular and vertical images adding your desired format at the end of your search.
I show you how:
2. HOW TO CHANGE THE FORMAT OF THE IMAGES ON MIDJOURNEY
It’s as easy as adding the –ar command at the end of your search followed by the aspect ratio you want (width:height).
Here some examples:
- Command to generate a rectangular image on Midjourney: –ar 3:2
- Command to generate a vertical image on Midjourney: –ar 9:16
- Command to generate a horizontal (flattened) image on Midjourney: –ar 16:9
For any other format, you just have to change the width and height –ar X:Y. So far, it doesn’t support ALL formats, but it has no problem with the most common ones.
